AmountSync Terms of Service

Last updated October 15, 2026

These Terms govern a business's use of AmountSync, which is owned and operated by Creative Design Software, LLC (“CDS, LLC”), a Delaware limited liability company (“we”, “us”). The customer owns its data; we provide the Service, keep that data secure and confidential, and delete it when the account closes. These Terms apply from the date shown above.

1. The agreement

By using AmountSync, the business you represent (the “Customer”) agrees to these Terms, and you confirm you have authority to bind it. If the Customer has signed a separate written agreement or order with us, that agreement governs where it conflicts with these Terms. These Terms incorporate our Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policy.

2. Definitions

  • Service: the AmountSync web application, browser extension, API, integrations and related support, as we provide them from time to time.
  • Customer Data: the products the Customer tracks, the retailer pages and stores it chooses, and the prices and records collected for them.
  • User: an individual the Customer authorizes to use the Service under its account.

3. Access and accounts

  • Access is by invitation. We grant the Customer a non-exclusive, non-transferable right for its Users to use the Service for the Customer's internal business purposes while its account is open.
  • The Customer is responsible for its Users' actions and for keeping their access current. Accounts are for individuals; Users must keep their credentials and API tokens confidential and not share accounts.
  • The Customer will tell us promptly of any unauthorized use it becomes aware of.

4. Fees

Any fees, billing terms and service levels are set out in a separate order or agreement between the Customer and us. Where none exists, access is provided on an evaluation basis and either party may end it at any time.

5. Customer Data

  • The Customer owns its Customer Data. We use it only to provide and support the Service, and do not sell it or use it for advertising.
  • We may use aggregated measurements that do not identify the Customer or any person — for example, how often collection succeeds at a retailer — to operate and improve the Service.
  • On request before its account closes, we will export the Customer's products, pages and price history. We delete Customer Data as our Data Retention Policy describes.

6. How prices are collected

The Service reads prices that retailers display publicly on their product pages. It does so from our servers, through service providers that fetch pages on our behalf, from a computer we operate on a residential connection, and — when a User chooses — through the AmountSync browser extension running in that User's browser. The Customer chooses which products and pages are tracked and is responsible for making sure that its use of the Service and of the data complies with the agreements and laws that apply to it.

7. Acceptable use

The Customer and its Users will not:

  • use the Service to track pages that are not public product pages, or that require a login other than the User's own;
  • attempt to bypass the Service's security, access another customer's data, or overload the Service or any retailer's website;
  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties except as agreed with us in writing;
  • reverse engineer the Service, except as the law allows despite this restriction; or
  • use the Service or its data to fix prices with competitors or otherwise in violation of competition or antitrust law.

8. Security and privacy

We protect Customer Data with reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, and process personal information as our Privacy Policy describes. If we become aware of unauthorized access to Customer Data, we will notify the Customer without undue delay.

9. Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential, use it only for this agreement, and protect it with at least reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is public through no fault of the receiving party, already known to it, independently developed, or lawfully received from a third party.

10. Intellectual property and feedback

We own the Service, including its software, design and documentation. The Customer owns its Customer Data. If the Customer gives us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation.

Trademarks. Retailer, product and brand names that appear in the Service or on amountsync.com are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify the retailers and products whose public prices are shown. AmountSync is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any retailer or brand unless we say so expressly.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on providers such as Supabase, Amazon Web Services, Cloudflare, Postmark and Bright Data, and can connect to services the Customer chooses, such as Salesforce. Services the Customer connects are governed by the Customer's own terms with their providers. Retailers' websites are not under our control and may change, block access or stop displaying prices at any time.

12. Availability and data accuracy

We work to keep the Service available and its data current and correct, and we show how current and complete each price is. But prices are read from third-party websites that change without notice, may show different prices to different visitors or stores, and may be unavailable; collected prices may therefore be delayed, missing or wrong. The Customer should confirm a price with the retailer before relying on it for a material decision.

13. Warranties and disclaimers

EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY STATED IN THESE TERMS, THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, AND WE DISCLAIM ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, NEITHER PARTY IS LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA, AND EACH PARTY'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT THE CUSTOMER PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR US$100 IF IT PAID NOTHING. THESE LIMITS DO NOT APPLY TO A PARTY'S INDEMNIFICATION OBLIGATIONS OR TO ITS BREACH OF SECTION 9.

15. Indemnification

The Customer will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from its Customer Data, its Users' breach of section 7, or its use of data from the Service. We will defend and indemnify the Customer against third-party claims that the Service, as we provide it, infringes their intellectual property rights.

16. Term, termination and suspension

  • These Terms apply while the Customer has an account. Either party may close the account on written notice, subject to any separate agreement.
  • We may suspend access to protect the Service, other customers or a retailer's website from harm, or for a material breach, and will tell the Customer the reason.
  • On closure, access ends and Customer Data is deleted as our Data Retention Policy describes. Sections 5, 9, 10 and 13–18 survive.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post changes here with a new date and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means acceptance.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, and each party consents to their jurisdiction. Either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its confidential information or intellectual property.

19. General

These Terms are the entire agreement on their subject. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Neither party may assign these Terms without the other's consent, except to a successor in a merger or sale of the business. The Customer will not use the Service in violation of U.S. export or sanctions laws.
